Use some extra wallpaper and make sure the piece you glue to the outlet plate
(which is removed from the wall) lines up with the patterned wallpaper.
Pre-paint the screws to coordinate with the decorative finish so they will
blend in when replaced.

Cut the paper only slightly larger (1/2 inch or 1.25 centimeters) than the
outlet plate.

Dampen or apply paste, then attach the paper to the plate and smooth it down.

Trim the edges and tuck them in tightly to the back of the plate.

Wait until the wallpaper is dry, then use a sharp razor knife to cut out the
slot for the actual switch or plug.

Reattach the outlet plate, with the newly painted screws, to the wall.

These consist of a top and a bottom piece. Cut the wallpaper to fit the plate
and snap the two pieces into place around it.
